All experience levels welcome, kids & adults alike. Learn the basics of digital photography and explore the world with new eyes! The class focuses on how your camera sees, creative controls, the art of story telling with images, with lots of hands-on classroom activities and outdoor expeditions from this great downtown location in the historic New Market Theater Building.
Cost $65 per session or $125 for Flex Pass (6 classes in 90 day period).

Justine Avera and Vincent Ramirez will be participating in this tradtional Day of the Dead Celebration by building the altar "Doy Gracias" to anchor one corner of the gallery, while the Mexican Consulate is building an amazing altar to anchor the other corner of the gallery. There will be performers singing traditional songs for the occassion, and reciting satyrical poems about politicians and celebrities. The altars are open for the community and artists to build on to.

"When I Rise" is a set of 2 mixed media paintings by Justine Avera done in the tradition of ex-votos, like a visual prayer. The first piece shows a simple church rooftop with sould flying through a sunlit sky, and an angel embracing a woman whose time has come to rise. The companion piece is a simple prayer layered on a painted backdrop. Join the procession and take part in this traditional Day of the Dead celebration.

Fun on Foster & Foster Art Walk

There will be a free trolley operating all day long, children's activities, bouncy inflatables, bands, sidewalk arts & crafts booths, artist demonstrations, performances and lots of international flavor!
